Ohmigosh! *swirls you* I am so, so glad you liked it, and that your reading experience was so similar to my own and several of my friends:

And rereads, and rereads - seriously, every single time I reread, I find some new detail to think about (that is, obsess over.)

TPOTS hugely entertaining. Quite different in tone, with a vivacious first-person narrator, and, oh, TPOTS Alec, who I love even more, I think, than SP Alec.

The Lies of Locke Lamora is also excellent, so either way, you win!
